She Sings Sweetly

She Sings Sweetly

Oil on Birch panel, carved Bass wood, 2011, 12" x 36" x 7"

sold

This is a painting I am exhibiting in my one person show in April at Paint Creek Center For The Arts in Rochester Mi. There is one is one more thing I need to do to this. I need to carve a little patch of green grass for her to be standing on. Then I think I'm finished.

What a wonderful piece of art, I'm speechless... The title works with much strenght and lyrism just as the use of 3d in these outstanding and very unique creations Andy. Love this composition, sublime, mysterious and so poetic. Great work!

Thank you so much Pierre. I feel much stronger in my painting ability now, and I think maybe thats starting to translate into some bolder work. I actually carved some other elements for this but ended up not using them because this particular composition seemed to offer what you said, more mystery and poetry.
